#1053 confirmed enhancement

Correct isp bandwith in QoS setting. (typing instead of selecting)

Reported by: herrsmoking@… Owned by:
Priority: normal Milestone: Firmware 2.3
Component: fon-base-firmware Version: N/A
Severity: minor
Cc: Hardware: both

Description

I use Developer firmware 2.3.6.1 My ISP bandwith is 60/6 Mbps. In Fonera2.0n Dashboard > Settings > QoS I can only select 50 or 100 Mbps download capacity.

Maybe a idea to manually type the bandwith in Dashboard > Settings > QoS. But show if it must be in Mb or KB per seconds(!) to prevent wrong values. Then the QoS can be better adjusted to the actual ISP bandwith.

Now i used a ssh session by Putty(telnet) and added this code in telnet session to get the 60Mbps download and 6Mbps upload in Fonera2.0n QoS firmware settings. (I calculate Megabit per second to KiloByte? per second)

uci set qos.wan.upload=732 uci set qos.wan.download=7324 uci commit qos exit

Oh. When changing the QoS bandwith value by telnet session (uci), then the dashboard gui value stay on 128Kbps)

  • Component changed from unknown to fon-base-firmware
  • Severity changed from unknown to minor
  • Status changed from new to confirmed
  • Type changed from request to enhancement
  • Version changed from 2.3.6.1 (Gari jr.) to N/A

Sounds reasonable. Might be a while until we get around to this, though. Patches welcome :-)
