Too frequent check for updates

Description

The fonera issues 1500 requests per day to updates.fon.com I don't think the frequency of updates of the fonera justify such a high frequency. Even testing if updates.fon.com is still alive can be done with less pings.

There must be a bug somewhere in the scheduling for whatever contacting this server is about.

It's not trying to find updates, nor trying to find out if updates.fon.com is still alive, but it's testing if the Fonera itself is online :-) Anyway, these checks should be made less frequent indeed. I'm closing this ticket, as it is a duplicate of #1125.

Ok :) Didn't found that this issue was already being reported and worked upon, sorry. I'm looking forward to the next firmware.
