unrar for fonera

Please create an official unrar/unzip plugin for fonera. Scope: downloaded torrents are often rar/zipped, fonera could unzip them by press of button in Fonera GUI, then close GUI and files will be unzipped in the background without using another PC.

Sounds like a good idea. We'll have to see about the disk space requirements, but I suspect that won't be big problem.

However, this is something for the slightly longer term.

Done a bit testing on unrar: - install must be done with following packages libuclibc++_0.2.2-9_mipsel.ipk, unrar_3.9.8-1_mipsel.ipk. I got the files from forum.fon.com - installation: opkg update opkg install libuclibc++_0.2.2-9_mipsel.ipk opkg install unrar_3.9.8-1_mipsel.ipk - it will install in /opt/bin/ as executable file 'unrar' - run: /opt/bin/unrar e file.rar , from the current directory of file.rar - it works for multiple packed files !! like file.part01.rar, file.part02.rar..., or even with file.rar, file.r00, file.r01... - what I could not achieve: to run unrar from any directory without path. It works only by executing /opt/bin/unrar.

Unrar does not work for zip files, so for zip another solution must be found

Unrar speed tested on Disc-A1 Samsung 1.5TB, unrar of multiple packed avi file, 720MB packed in 50 rxx file, unpacked in 140 seconds by unrar.

Unrar speed is 5 Mbytes/sec.
