#1171 infoneeded bug

Supported Webcam via supported USB 2.0 Hub unsupported

Reported by: Jasper <fonosfera@…> Owned by:
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: fon-plugin-webcam Version: 2.3.6.1 (Gari jr.)
Severity: unknown
Cc: Hardware: 2.0n (FON2300)

Description

I have Microsoft Lifecam which works fine on my Fonera 2.0n when I attach it on the single USB port.

Now I attached a USB 2.0 hub (self powered) and attached the webcam to the hub now. Suddenly no video is returned anymore but external harddrives and flash disks work.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

  • Status changed from new to infoneeded

Anything in dmesg when you actually try to open the webcam in the webgui? Does the webgui show any kind of error?

Could you try if it works better with the 2.3.7.0 rc2 firmware? A new USB driver was included in that version.
