#1227 investigate enhancement

The Fon access portal should appear on the LAN connections.

Description

The Fon access portal only appears on the Fon public signal and there's no way to make it appear on the private or the LAN connections. You can block access from the private signal and LAN ports to the WAN (internet) side, but that will not show the access portal. As I tryed to integrate fonera 2.0n (FON2303a) into a exsiting hotel network I would like that feature to be @ the next release :-).

  • Type changed from request to enhancement
  • Version changed from 2.3.7.0 rc1 to N/A

I like the idea, but this is not something that has a lot of priority right now.

In the meanwhile, you might want to look at some alternative solution, like CoovaAP or running a plain OpenWRT firmware with Coova or some other hotspot software configured manually.

Hello Matthijs,

I just want to add some, so I think, helpful information. As you can see here (http://trac.freewlan.info/wiki/Documentation/Scenarios/QRMWithFONEthernet.de.html) the Work is done already :-) So I hope the integration can be done faster.

Sorry for my bad english my german is better :-)
