#343 closed request (support)

Hidden file cannot be deleted after pureftp interrupted

Reported by: mihaly.reg@… Owned by: iurgi@…
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: fon-base-firmware Version: Other
Severity: unknown
Cc: Hardware: unknown

Description

Transferring a file with ftp to Disc-A1 that will be interrupted for some reason like disk full results in a hidded file .pureftpd-upload.4a6a00c9.15.1a63.a8fde99b that is not seen in ftp client and cannot be deleted. If it's in a folder, the folder cannot be deleted too. A new implementation is necessary to be able to delete such files, e.g. from the Filebrowser.

As part of the upcoming 2.3.7.0 firmware release, we're reviewing old open tickets to see if they are still relevant, which is why you get this response now.

Files starting with a dot are hidden files in UNIX. Your FTP client will not show them by default, but most FTP applications can be configured to show hidden files, allowing you to delete the temporary files.
