#372 closed bug (fixed)

Static Internet connection settings lost after firmware upgrade

Reported by: carsten.schuette@… Owned by:
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: fon-network Version: Other
Severity: unknown
Cc: Hardware: unknown

Description

I am using "static" settings for internet connections. Whenever I updated my firmware, after the reboot the internet connection settings on dashboard are "n/a" for all three settings. I always have to switch to DHCP mode, reboot, and then switch back to static settings to make the internet connection come online again.

This is reproduceable with latest versions, for example current 1403 svn revision.

As part of the upcoming 2.3.7.0 firmware release, we're reviewing old open tickets to see if they are still relevant, which is why you get this response now.

I just tried this with 2.3.7.0 rc2, which doesn't seem to have this issue anymore.

If this issue still occurs for you, feel free to leave a comment here so we can further investigate.
