#389 closed bug (test_in_newer_version)

Problems accessing bigger USB disks

Reported by: steven@… Owned by:
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: fon-base-firmware Version: 2.3.0.0 (Elan)
Severity: unknown
Cc: Hardware: 2.0n (FON2300)

Description

I tried to mount a 1TB NTFS and a 300gbyte ext2 disc ; they showed "nothing" or the contents of one of the attached pendiscs

I currently have 1gbyte, 2gbyte, 300gbyte, 1terabyte connected to the 4port usb2.0hub... only the 1 & 2 gbyte work; the 2gbyte is formatted as ext2 and the 1gbyte is mounted as vfat

  • Summary changed from Fonera 2.0N 2.3.0 fails as a NAS to Problems accessing bigger USB disks

I have a 1000GB disk (with FAT and ext2 parititions up 250GB) connected directly, with no problems.

Could you try connecting only one of the disks at a time to see if that works? Perhaps also leave out the USB hub for self-powered devices?

As part of the upcoming 2.3.7.0 firmware release, we're reviewing old open tickets to see if they are still relevant, which is why you get this response now.

If this issue still occurs with the 2.3.7.0 rc2 firmware, feel free to leave a comment here so we can further investigate.
