#427 closed bug (moreinfoneeded)

Problem with DNS in fonera 2.0g

Reported by: capiscuas@… Owned by: iurgi@…
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: fon-network Version: Other
Severity: unknown
Cc: Hardware: 2.0g (FON2202)

I have installed the 2.0.3 RC1 - DEV

When I connect to the fonera trought ethernet port (in the PC slot), I always get in the browser the error of that internet is missconfigured.

If I log trough ssh to fonera, and do ping to , i can see ping returned from google.

But if I do ping trough my laptop then I always get the IP as the answer for all my DNS petitions to the fonera.

it maybe be a fonera DNS problem.

  • Component changed from unknown to fon-network
  • Hardware set to 2.0g (FON2202)
  • Milestone Firmware 2.3.0rc1 deleted
  • Status changed from new to infoneeded
  • Type changed from request to bug
  • Version set to Other

What are the WAN settings used to connect the Fonera to the internet?

Did you try resetting to factory defaults? If the problem then persists, that would make it easier for us to reproduce it.

I'm also assuming you mean RC1?

As part of the upcoming firmware release, we're reviewing old open tickets to see if they are still relevant, which is why you get this response now.

If this issue still occurs with the rc2 firmware, feel free to leave a comment here so we can further investigate.
