I'm telling about results of "free" command in terminal

I've noticed there is approx 16Mo used by firmware 2.3.0 and 30-32Mo
used by the next build, 1626 and newer

I've just tried on my Fonera, and it also shows 30Mb used:

root@Fonera:~# free
              total used free shared buffers
  Mem: 62272 30672 31600 0 3728
 Swap: 0 0 0
Total: 62272 30672 31600

This output is very similar to what showed, IIRC.

Also, I have found no mention of a ramdisk in the output of "free" in either firmware version.

Could you perhaps paste the output of the "free" command to illustrate your problem?

Also, could you see if you are perhaps comparing dev and non-dev versions? I think openvpn is only present in the dev versions so far, so that might cause a bit of difference in the memory usages.
