  • Hardware changed from 2.0n (FON2300) to both
  • Milestone set to Firmware 2.3
  • Severity changed from unknown to normal
  • Status changed from new to confirmed

A quick look around the sources show that the transmission daemon does only save its settings when it exits (and directly after starting so any command line options are saved as well). This means that the settings are only saved when transmission is explicitly shut down through the webgui, I don't think that there is really a shutdown procedure for normal reboots.

It's probably best if tranmission would just save its settings whenever they change, but this is something that requires changes to the upstream source (so either a patch by Fon, or a change in a next upstream release).

Just for the record and for helping to figure out how fonera's transmission client works, I must say that in case you reboot your fonera through ssh console using the "reboot" command, those settings will not be lost.

Aw, this was a incredibly qtiualy post. In theory I'd like to write like this as well taking time and real work to create a good article but what can I say I procrastinate alot and by no means appear to have a thing done.
