Settings to limit public wan doesn't work

Reported by: diaz8@… Owned by:

Severity: normal

Description

I have recently purchase a fonera 2.0n and upgraded firmware to 2.3.6.1 developer.

Had set same changes on SSID for my private and public WAN under Settings and it worked.

However i set speed limit to my public spot, but didn't work. Run a speed limit while connected to public place and showed full of my bandwidth.

Is it an known issue?

Regards.

  • hardware changed from 2.0n (FON2300) to both
  • version changed from 2.3.6.1 (Gari jr.) to N/A
  • milestone changed from Firmware 2.3 to Firmware 2.3.7.0

Some time ago, I managed to find the cause for this issue: There was an error in the commands sent by the fatserver, preventing the download limit from being applied (the upload limit should have worked).

Since then, a fix was made, which is now being tested in FON's testing environment.

Event though this is not a firmware bug, I'm assigning this ticket to the 2.3.7.0 firmware to make it easier to keep track of it.

  • resolution set to fixed
  • milestone Firmware 2.3.7.0 deleted

This fix was pushed to production, so setting the bandwidth limits on www.fon.com should work again on all firmware versions (just tested this on a 2.0n running beta3).
