Directory and file names in the file browser

Reported by: ptr.kooiman@… Owned by:
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: fon-base-firmware Version: 2.3.6.1 (Gari jr.)
Severity: unknown
Cc: Hardware: 2.0n (FON2300)

Description

When I try to open Directories with characters like "é" or "Ø", I see in stead the character "". Also I cannot open those directories.

When I change the character set of the browser to Western (ISO-8859-1) (from Unicode (UTF-8)) I see the characters correct, but I still cannot open the directories.

As part of the upcoming 2.3.7.0 firmware release, we're reviewing old open tickets to see if they are still relevant, which is why you get this response now.

There have been some character set related fixes in the kernel and mountd, so I expected this will work as expected in the latest version.

If this issue still occurs with the  2.3.7.0 rc2 firmware, feel free to leave a comment here so we can further investigate.
